January 1965. He started his career in the Luxembourg Armed Forces in 25th April, 1983. He was promoted to Sergeant on 16th September 1986, after his graduation at the Belgium NCO Academy in Arlon.

His military education includes Basic and Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Courses, Winter Warfare and Airborne Course in GERMANY (US 10th Spec For), German Army’s School for Airborne, MFC training in Germany, NATO CFE Treaty Course, NATO Senior NCO Orientation Course, NATO Advanced Leadership Course, NATO CSEL Course, NATO Instructor Course, PERSOLOG Personality Profile Course.
Since February 2025, AdjMaj Hinger is the Command Senior Enlisted Leader (CSEL) in the Joint Support Enabling Command in Ulm, Germany. He serves as a principal advisor to the Commander, Lieutenant General Kai Rohrschneider, on matters concerning non-commissioned officers and the moral component of the headquarters’ staff. He is also responsible for mentoring the JSEC staff and representing their needs to the leadership ensuring that from the lowest level we all understand the mission.
AdjMaj Hinger was deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Congo.
He is married and father of four children. He speaks Luxembourg, German, French and English.
