The event, originally scheduled from 18:00 to 21:00 hrs, turned into an unforgettable evening that lasted until midnight, highlighting the power of music in fostering camaraderie and international connection.

What began as a structured evening of performances evolved into a dynamic and interactive celebration

The evening's program featured an outstanding musical collaboration. The Heeresmusikkorps Ulm Saxophone Quartet delivered four impressive jazz-inspired performances, setting the stage for an engaging and lively atmosphere. Midway through the event, OF-2 Markus Sayer and OR-7 Hans van Deelen took over, bringing a unique blend of guitar and vocals to the gathering. Their repertoire included veteran songs such as “Soldat” and “Ich Will mein Leben zurück”, which particularly resonated with the audience.

What began as a structured evening of performances evolved into a dynamic and interactive celebration. When the official program concluded at 21:00 hrs, the enthusiasm of the attendees led to an impromptu continuation. Markus and Hans kept the momentum going, transforming the night into a true musical festivity. The engagement and appreciation of the guests underscored the event’s resounding success.

After a night filled with music, connection and celebration, the performers stayed overnight at the military base before heading home the next day, filled with a sense of accomplishment. This event not only reinforced the bonds within our military community but also served as a perfect prelude to their next challenge: performing at the Veteran’s Day in Berlin on June 15th.
