Shortly after having completed “De 4 Daagse” in Nijmegen the participants of Joint Support and Enabling Command received a small honour ceremony in the office of the Commander Lieutenant General Alexander Sollfrank. “What you have achieved means something for all of us here at JSEC”, General Sollfrank emphasized: “It tells us that marching and military basic skills in general are key all soldiers.”

Traditionally in the third week of July, over 45,000 participants with more than 70 different nationalities are participating in the world’s largest walking achievement event, the 4-Days-March “De 4 Daagse” to Nijmegen (Netherlands). People from as young as 11 to over 90 walk 30, 40 or 50 kilometres for four days in this city on the Waal river and its beautiful, wooded surroundings. They all gather with the same objective in mind: being awarded the coveted 4 Days Marches Cross. And our JSEC participants are pretty sure: We will be there next year!
