POLICY Hiking Tour around the Sudelfeld

JSEC J5 Plans Policy conducted a three days Mountain Training/Hiking as part of the Functional Area Training (FAT-I-2024) on the “Lampl-Alm” in Bayrischzell on the Bavarian Alps in the Mangfall Mountains. The Policy Team combined this Training with an internal Workshop and a Team Event focusing on synchronizing milestones of the Policy workplan for 2025.

After arriving on the Lampl-Alm and after everyone had settled there, the area around the Sudelfeld was explored on the first day. Then all cooked together and after dinner, we looked at the sunset at a bonfire in front of our self-catering mountain hut. On the second day the Tour from the Sudelfeld took a few hours towards Brünnsteinhaus, where after a little refreshment, the weather conditions did not allow us the next stage, the Tour to the Ludwig-Steiner-Monument on the Great Brünnberg Mountain.

After roundabout 8 hours and a few meters in altitude, we were back at the mountain hut and took the advantage of this special atmosphere to say Farewell to the ACOS Policy, which left left JSEC for a new assignment in Brussels, Belgium, a few days later.

On the next day, the Policy Team returned to Ulm with lots of impressions, not only for some, who were in the mountains for the first time.
