International Reinforcement and Sustainment Conference Held at the Joint Support and Enabling Command in Ulm, Germany

Ulm, Germany, June 22 - The Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC) is bringing together all NATO Headquarters and the relevant stakeholders of the sovereign nations in order to create a comprehensive network, transcending national borders within the Alliance's boundaries.

The Reinforcement and Sustainment Network (RSN) Conference held in Ulm, Germany, June 22 to 23, 2022, was to facilitate this Reinforcement and Sustainment Network in-between the NATO Headquarters and to tailor its capabilities to their respective requirements. The conference was presided by JSEC Chief of Staff, Dutch Major General Richard Laurijssen; more than forty international representatives from NATO Headquarters in Belgium, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Türkiye, the United Kingdom and the United States took part.
The results of this initial conference will shape the way ahead...

"The conference will give us an opportunity to exchange ideas and to create a common understanding of reinforcement and sustainment," emphasized Laurijssen in his opening remarks, "The results of this initial conference will shape the way ahead and contribute to upcoming conferences with the nations."

The Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC) is a static operational headquarters located in Ulm, Germany, with multinational personnel directly subordinate to the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) and his Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Mons, Belgium.

JSEC's mission is to coordinate NATO's reinforcement by forces and the subsequent sustainment in the Euro-Atlantic area with a 360-degree approach. This requires an efficient multi-domain network integrating all relevant authorities, civilian, governmental, and non-governmental institutions of NATO and EU member states.
