Joint support and enabling command personnel awarded for outstanding performances

ULM, Germany - On 6 October, 2022 Lieutenant General Alexander Sollfrank, Commander of Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC), presented the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Meritorious Service Medal on behalf of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to Colonel Phillip Borders (United States Army) and Colonel Klaus Nebe (German Army). In addition, Chief Master Sergeant Martin Wohlert (German Air Force) was awarded with the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) Recognition Award on behalf of former SACEUR, General Tod D. Wolters.

All three awarded staff members stand out due to exceptional individual contributions in their field of expertise to the development of JSEC and its high self-conception as a NATO military HQ

A sunny fall day at JSEC offered the perfect backdrop for the staff line-up celebrating the three comrades awarded with these high distinctions.

“The NATO Meritorious Service Medal and the SACEUR Recognition Award acknowledge the honored comrades’ dedication and outstanding performances which they have proven not only to our Headquarters (HQ) here in Ulm but the Alliance as a whole. All three awarded staff members stand out due to exceptional individual contributions in their field of expertise to the development of JSEC and its high self-conception as a NATO military HQ,“ Sollfrank congratulated the honorees.
