ULM, Germany - Sweden has become the 32nd member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. On Monday, March 11th, 2024, Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC) welcomed the new Ally with a Flag Ceremony.
It makes us all stronger and safer

Major General Stefan Sandborg, Chief of Sweden's Directorate of Support Service, participated in JSEC's welcoming flag ceremony at JSEC. "Completing Sweden's accession to NATO is an historic step that benefits the security of all NATO Allies at this critical time," JSEC's Commander, Lieutenant General Alexander Sollfrank, said: "It makes us all stronger and safer."

This was especially true when it comes to enabling SACEUR’s Area of Responsibility, he emphasized: "Sweden now plays an important role in the Reinforcement and Sustainment Network and will contribute heavily to a much smoother force and sustainment flow in the Baltic sea area and the complete North-Eastern part of SACEUR’s AOR." Sweden strengthens NATO’s Deterrence and Defence with its highly capable forces and advanced capabilities.
