Remembrance Flowers Collection: JSEC donates more than 2450 euros for good causes

ULM, Germany - This fall, JSEC personnel of Canada, France, Germany and United Kingdom has given out Remembrance Flowers for a small donation. Now the collections are counted: Joint Support and Enabling Command will support good causes in Europe and Overseas with a pleasing 2459,93 euros.

The collections of the four nations will benefit various charitable causes. The money raised from the British and Canadian Poppy Appeal donations is used to help servicemen and women whose lives have been changed by wars that they have fought in, to help veterans and to help those who have lost loved ones because of conflict.

The French contingent has transferred the donations collected in the Wilhelmsburg Barracks to the association Bleuets de France. This money will be used to buy specialized equipment for wounded soldiers.

The German collections will support the German War Graves Commission, which is caring for 836 war gravesites in 46 countries with about 2,8 million war dead.

“Today, as we contribute a donation of overall more than 2450 euros to support worthy causes, we not only demonstrate our commitment to making a positive impact but also showcase the strength of unity and cohesion within our multinational command”, JSEC’s Deputy Commander, Major General Dariusz Ryczkowski, stated and emphasized: “In this diverse and dynamic environment, it is NATO’s shared values and collective effort that enable us to make a difference, standing together for the greater good.”
