The Joint Support and Enabling Command Receives a new Deputy Commander

The German Brigadier General Hartmut Renk took over as the new second in command on the 15th April in Ulm. He served previously as the Chief of Staff at the United States Army Europe Headquarters (USAREUR) deployed in Wiesbaden.

His predecessor, Major General Kai Rohrschneider, looked back on a successful time as the Deputy Commander of the Joint Support and Enabling Command and as the Chief of Staff of the Multinational Joint Headquarters in Ulm. After just one and a half year having served in two functions, Rohrschneider said: “I would have liked to stay longer in Ulm.“

Lieutenant General Jürgen Knappe (middle), the commander of the two headquarters, led the coronavirus adapted handover-ceremony in the Wilhelmsburgkaserne. He thanked Major General Kai Rohrschneider (r.) for his work and welcomed Brigadier General Hartmut Renk (l.) on his new posts.
