Ziua Marii Uniri and the glorious journey of a German Prince into Romania

December 1 - Ziua Marii Uniri, the Great Union Day, is the National Day of Romania. It is celebrated every year on December 1st, marking the unification of the last Romanian provinces - Transylvania, Crișana, Banat and Maramureș, with the Kingdom of Romania in 1918, at the end of World War I.
